Overview
Quarians are a people forced into exile by the geth rebellion. EA's Tali retrospective identifies Rannoch as their former homeland, with fleet life and a treason trial shaping her story. These circumstances link collective displacement with one individual's history; her trilogy experiences do not determine every quarian's loyalties.
Prima's Engineer walkthrough describes a quarian research expedition to Haestrom, a former colony used to observe Dholen. Now occupied by geth, its ruins hold evidence for Tali's investigation of the star's unexpectedly rapid degradation. The dangerous mission pursues historical and scientific knowledge rather than simply conquering territory.
EA emphasizes Tali's engineering and hacking skills, explaining one companion's value without making specialization an inherited ability. Prima's account also recalls earlier quarians without head coverings; that detail alone cannot reconstruct the people's entire immune physiology or clothing history.
The Legendary Edition trial walkthrough describes a fleet ship occupied by geth and a tribunal accepting Shepard's intervention. Evidence can clear Tali at the cost of her father's reputation; persuasive alternatives or withholding evidence produce different combinations of legal judgment and loyalty. The distinctions make the trial an encounter with institutions and personal obligation, rather than a fixed verdict imposed by every playthrough. This version-specific guide is secondary evidence, and the profile does not turn one branch into the only canonical outcome.
First appearances & development
Mass Effect (2007) is the selected early game witness through Tali, followed by the second and third games. EA's 2016 retrospective documents that sequence. The 2021 Legendary Edition guide is used specifically for the trial's branching presentation; neither its publication date nor the retrospective is mistaken for the people's original appearance.
Canon & continuity
The complete official EA Tali profile was read. Complete relevant opening, research and rendezvous passages of Prima's Engineer guide were recovered through ordinary page retrieval after a web timeout. The Legendary Edition trial body was read separately and labelled Reference. No new game playthrough or complete physiological codex inspection is claimed.
