Fallingstar beast (Elden Ring)

Overview

Fallingstar beasts have hard, shining black bodies, spiked tails, pale fur and insect-like jaws. Crater locations suggest a descent from afar, but the profile does not turn that environmental clue into a complete account of their birth. The full-grown example on Mount Gelmir has greater gravity powers, including a lifting wave and sweeping magical beams. Its exposed facial orb invites comparison with other cosmic monsters, yet resemblance is insufficient evidence that every such being is the same species or a directly observed developmental stage.

A jaw fragment becomes the Fallingstar Beast Jaw weapon, whose description confirms the hard black material and pointed shape; its skill channels gravitational lightning. This equipment witness is more specific than an invented claim that the whole body is made of ordinary meteoritic iron. Encounters occur in the Altus Plateau crater and Sellia Crystal Tunnel, with the reference noting that an earlier tunnel version used a full-grown form before a later change. The exact patch transition is not verified here. Shadow of the Erdtree supplies another beast near the Finger Ruins of Dheo, with a different reward. Full-grown status and regional appearances are grouped without multiplying near-identical encounters into new species.

First appearances & development

The selected creature type appears in Elden Ring in 2022. Its ordinary and full-grown forms belong in one profile, with the 2024 expansion placement identified separately. Uncertain patch timing is retained as a limitation rather than assigning a fabricated exact update or earliest appearance.

Canon & continuity

The actual specialist creature body and displayed Jaw weapon text were read for form, gravity attacks and rewards. The source also documents the expansion placement and its own uncertainty over an earlier tunnel change. No developer statement establishing an Astel life cycle or a complete official bestiary chapter was inspected.
