Overview
Land octopuses turn a familiar marine outline into a terrestrial mass of moving tentacles. They occur near water and in other parts of the Lands Between, with large individuals often surrounded by smaller creatures. A protruding beak and two powerful forward appendages define the larger form's threatening silhouette. Their presence is a fictional departure from real octopus ecology.
The game allows large specimens to lose tentacles and later regrow them, with their beaks offering a particular point of vulnerability. Item descriptions supply the unsettling detail that human consumption is connected with bearing young. This is an in-world description, not a real biological explanation. Juveniles differ sharply in durability and attacks, while regional scaling changes encounter difficulty. The profile separates these observable forms and source-text claims from invented evolutionary histories or unsupported accounts of intelligence.
