Overview

Flying Dragon Agheel descends on a gathering at the lake in southern Limgrave, burning the assembled nobles near Dragon-Burnt Ruins. This arrival turns an early stretch of exploration into an optional open-ground confrontation with flight, fire and attacks from the dragon's body. The Agheel's Flame incantation gives the scene a specific cultural context: the dead around Limgrave's lakes hoped dragon fire would reduce them to ash. That wish is more precise than a generic claim that every local person worships dragons. Defeating Agheel gives a Dragon Heart and unlocks his named incantation at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, where it requires two hearts rather than becoming an automatically granted spell.

Agheel's Flame temporarily channels his power through a dragon-form breath from above; it can be used during a jump and extended by charging. That is an ability of the learned incantation, not evidence that the slain dragon becomes the player's permanent companion. Steamforged's licensed tabletop presentation preserves the fire, teeth and claws while adapting the encounter to mounted Tarnished. Its 2025 design account uses an eleven-by-nine battlefield and a dragon base covering nine squares, with additional movement effects for riders. It also introduces a Dragon Communion seal as a powerful reward with a cost left unexplained in the inspected prose. These choices document the adaptation's scale and play structure, not Agheel's measured in-world length, a universal dragon society or a newly proven ancestry.

First appearances & development

Agheel's selected encounter and named incantation belong to Elden Ring in 2022. The licensed tabletop expansion and 2025 design account are later treatments of the same individual. Ancient, glintstone and other dragons are not merged into his biography merely because a specialist page redirects to a broader dragon catalogue.
