Deimos Jugulus

Overview

The Jugulus conceals much of its body underground, emerging when a target approaches. It spits explosive material, launches bone glaives around its neck and drives spikes up beneath the player. Its attacks threaten nearby positions without requiring it to pursue like a roaming animal. The exposed upper body is therefore only part of the encounter.

After substantial damage, the creature withdraws and relocates away from the opponent. It can recover when undisturbed, giving the ambush a repeated cycle rather than a permanently fixed emplacement. Emergence, attack and retreat require attention to the ground as well as to the visible body. The early Infested Bone Blade name belongs to a development presentation; the final game type is Jugulus.

First appearances & development

The Jugulus was introduced in Warframe: Heart of Deimos (2020). The inspected reference distinguishes an earlier presentation name from the game’s final enemy type. This profile lists one primary update and its reference-mediated encounter, without inventing separate species for repeated emergence locations or every later statistical adjustment.

Canon & continuity

The Warframe Wiki article supplies concealment, attacks, retreat and relocation. The profile omits exact immunity and recovery numbers rather than presenting continuing-game values as permanent physiology. A proposed Krull weapon resemblance in the source is not promoted into creator-confirmed design history; absence of that primary witness is an explicit limit.
