Overview

A Saxum’s enlarged belly supports heavy slams, while its shoulders launch projectiles. The reference calls those structures Femurs and identifies them as encounter targets. Breaking both removes controlled ranged fire and shifts the monster toward close assaults. Anatomy therefore determines the attack transition, rather than simply offering a conventional headshot.

The broken shoulders continue releasing corrosive bomblets as the damaged body loses health. Disabling the weapons does not immediately make the nearby area safe. An undisturbed Saxum can recover between exchanges. The Rex form adds Tendril Drones and appears in a particular assassination context; ordinary examples do not inherit that ability. Controlled fire, residual discharge and melee pressure give the same organism several states during a fight.

First appearances & development

Saxum appear with Warframe: Heart of Deimos (2020). The inspected reference identifies the earlier Infested Femur presentation name and the recurring game form. This entry groups the ordinary and specifically labeled Rex contexts; one primary update is listed, rather than counting each encounter title or numerical balance revision as a new creature.

Canon & continuity

The inspected Warframe Wiki supplies the shoulder-break transition, uncontrolled bomblets and Rex distinction. The body description is a reference-mediated game encounter account. Its detailed current and historical statistical notes are not reproduced as fixed biology, and no independent creator explanation of the design was located within this bounded source set.
