Overview

The original Heart of Deimos update describes Predasites as solitary hunters that return to the same partners in the swamps during mating season. The conservation reference adds spore-riddled bodies, parasitic organisms and conspicuous respiratory structures beside the head. These features place them within the Cambion Drift’s altered ecology rather than making them ordinary cats with cosmetic mutations. Other Infested can attack them, leaving a weakened animal that the player may capture and bring to Son for care.

Companion creation is called revivification, reflecting treatment of a living creature rather than assembly of a robot. Mutagens alter resistance and the tail, while antigens affect appearance and mod polarity. Vizier, Pharaoh and Medjay are retained as subspecies within this entry, not three independent catalogue species. Their reference descriptions range from avoidance and restorative spores to parasite discharge and forceful bites. The conservation and companion accounts supply different contexts: a wild encounter is not automatically the same behavior as an animal supporting its master in a mission.

First appearances & development

Predasites were introduced in Warframe: Heart of Deimos, released on August 25, 2020. This entry covers that landscape species and its companion system, with later reference material identifying subspecies distinctions. The selected fictional work is one continuing game update; no separate novel or independent second narrative witness is claimed.

Canon & continuity

Digital Extremes’ original update directly supports mating, solitary behavior and treatment into companions. The inspected official-linked Warframe Wiki conservation and companion pages provide anatomical and subtype detail. Their explicit conjecture section, including proposed real-animal design ancestry, is excluded. Mod categories are gameplay properties, not a claim that the creature is biologically a Kubrow.
