Overview

Fass and Vome loom over the Drift as enormous worm-like forms, each visibly associated with a different color: orange for Fass and blue for Vome. The individual reference accounts describe skeletal cage-like structures around glowing orbs, with additional webbing on Vome’s upper spines. Their repeated exchange of destructive beams ends in one sibling being broken apart, then regenerating for the next turn of the conflict. The landscape thus has a biological spectacle in place of an ordinary sunrise and sunset. Neither sibling is treated here as a separate species simply to increase the catalogue count.

The original update links dominance to changes in the creatures below. Under Vome, formidable Infested become dormant and friendly Necramechs may roam; under Fass, those enemies stir while ruined machines remain inactive. The losing sibling’s residue can be collected as fishing bait. The references describe additional contrasting residue effects: Fass’s scattered zones interfere with the player’s display and movement, whereas Vome’s can speed movement and restore health. Those are localized gameplay effects, not proof of a general benevolent or evil physiology. The pair’s rivalry connects a huge visible creature encounter to everyday activity such as locating wildlife, exploring and fishing.

First appearances & development

Both named wyrms appear in Heart of Deimos (2020), a single Warframe update. This combined profile covers the expressly related pair and the environmental cycle they enact, not an invented generic species with established reproduction. Their names are also used by other game items, which are not interchangeable evidence about the creatures.

Canon & continuity

Digital Extremes’ original update directly calls them feuding siblings and connects their dominance to Infested, Necramech and fishing conditions. The inspected individual Warframe Wiki pages supply appearance, regeneration and residue behavior. Their unrelated speculation about a third dormant wyrm is excluded; no exhaustive Infested genealogy or exact current cycle duration is asserted.
