Overview

The original Deimos update situates Vulpaphyla as pack scavengers rather than the landscape’s dominant predators. The conservation account describes agile, fox-like bodies and a general preference to flee from danger, although confronted animals can fight. Its subspecies descriptions qualify that generalization: the Crescent is notably confrontational, while the Panzer possesses protective skin and the Sly specializes in evasion. The entry therefore gives the animal a feeding role and a range of responses, rather than calling every Vulpaphyla a harmless pet.

The companion reference distinguishes a rescued organism from a manufactured object. A weakened captured animal is revivified with selected mutagens and antigens, which change resistance, appearance and gameplay properties. Subspecies also determine different precepts, including distinct devolution abilities associated with a larval state. These abilities belong to the companion system and need their own conditions; they do not establish unrestricted immortality for every wild animal. Sly, Crescent and Panzer remain variations within the species profile, while their differing preferences make the companion choice more than a change of color.

First appearances & development

Vulpaphyla were introduced with Warframe: Heart of Deimos on August 25, 2020. The profile joins the wild scavenger and treated companion contexts within that update’s world. It does not count each subspecies or customization combination as another species, and it identifies one primary game update rather than inventing an independent second work.

02

Canon & continuity

The original Digital Extremes update directly identifies pack scavenging and revivification. The inspected Warframe Wiki conservation and companion articles add subtype behavior, customization and listed devolution precepts. Their real-fox design attribution is not treated as creator testimony. The profile does not rely on unsupported claims that the animals originated through one particular shipwreck.
