Overview
Zora are aquatic beings whose forms and roles vary substantially across Zelda games. Some early depictions are hostile water-dwelling enemies, while Ocarina of Time develops a recognizable society and royal household. Later games make individual Zora allies central to Link's relationships, so a single enemy description cannot stand for the entire recurring name.
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom emphasize Zora's Domain, political succession and community recovery. Differences between river and sea portrayals require careful game attribution rather than an invented universal evolutionary history. Their entry is useful for tracking how a franchise can preserve an aquatic identity while changing visual design, social roles and the player's relationship to its inhabitants.
