Overview
Wu-Shinron forms from the negative energy associated with reviving Goku after the Raditz battle. His small body gathers electrical slime and steals a town’s power to construct a much larger form. The outer mass can rebound an overwhelming attack and expands until it encloses Goku and Pan.
The true dragon remains sheltered inside the giant body’s stomach, directing its electrically charged material. His size therefore depends on an assembled substance, not a permanent growth stage. Rain short-circuits that construction and causes its destruction. The separation between pilot and composite body explains both apparent resilience and decisive vulnerability. It is a particular magical encounter, not a universal rule for dragons or a practical model of real electrical hazards.
First appearances & development
Wu-Shinron’s official first-appearance record is GT episode 48. The 1996 date in the bibliography refers to the beginning of that television series, not a verified airdate for the later episode. The profile uses the publisher’s Japanese-derived name and keeps dub aliases as names of the same entity.
Canon & continuity
The 2026 official showcase provides the originating wish, electricity theft, slime enlargement, protected inner body and rain-induced defeat. These are episode-specific story observations, not generalized biology for all evil dragons. The retrospective was inspected directly; a complete rewatch and independent verification of every localized technique name were not undertaken.
