Overview

Liang-Shinron forms from negative energy associated with Bora’s earlier resurrection wish. Pan repeatedly defeats him physically, and an inflated stomach only briefly deflects her attacks. He does not gain a stronger transformed body. Instead, leaking energy poisons a lake and spreads mist that weakens Goku and Pan.

His advantage comes from the surrounding contamination. Beams from his mouth knock the weakened pair into the lake, but Gill finds a fresh spring that restores their strength. Their combined attack then destroys the dragon. The encounter turns a benevolent old wish into an environmental cost within GT’s specific premise. It does not establish pollution as the universal consequence of Dragon Ball wishes in other continuities.

First appearances & development

The official retrospective gives episode 48 as his first appearance. Dragon Ball GT began in 1996 as a Toei television continuation using Toriyama’s established characters; this creature belongs to its later evil-dragon storyline. Liang-Shinron and localized names identify one dragon here, rather than separate species entries for each dub.

Canon & continuity

The 2025 official character showcase supplies the wish association, lake pollution, mist, stomach defence and spring-water reversal. It identifies the episode and illustrates the scene, but is a retrospective rather than a newly viewed full episode. The account is kept distinct from ordinary real-world toxicology and from Dragon Ball Super’s continuity.
