Overview
Uragaan is a heavily armored Brute Wyvern with a conspicuously enlarged chin and a golden, rocklike exterior. Introduced in Monster Hunter Tri, it uses the chin for powerful impacts and curls its body into rolling charges. Its association with volcanic areas and mineral consumption gives the design a clear environmental identity, while scattered explosive rocks and gas attacks add hazards around its direct movements.
World brings the creature into the Elder's Recess, where its habits and armor fit the mineral-rich landscape. The resemblance to Radobaan offers a useful comparison, but Radobaan's bone coating is a separate feature rather than an alternate name for Uragaan. Steel Uragaan is likewise a named subspecies outside this profile. Gas effects, attack sequences and elemental weaknesses vary between games; the large chin, heavy armor and rolling locomotion provide the more stable identifying traits.
First appearances & development
Monster Hunter Tri (2009 Japanese release; 2010 English release). This entry follows the version represented by the primary works listed below, rather than treating the name as a single creature shared by every adaptation. Game Hunter's Notes and encounters are the baseline; subspecies, variants, spin-offs and numerical mechanics require title attribution.

The bibliography identifies Monster Hunter Tri as a primary basis and Monster Hunter: World as a second useful treatment. The linked secondary reference supports identification and contextual claims; it does not substitute for consulting the named edition, episode or game. Game Hunter's Notes and encounters are the baseline; subspecies, variants, spin-offs and numerical mechanics require title attribution.
