Overview

CIP identifies Tsou/Cou as a self-name glossed as people. It places communities at Alishan in Chiayi and at Jiumei (Luhdu) in Nantou.

The council names the Tapang, Tfuya and Luhdu communities. It describes historical patrilineal subclans, houses and shared resources.

CIP associates Homeyaya with the millet harvest and documents Mayasvi specifically for Tapang and Tfuya, not for every community. It notes that Christianization and rice cultivation altered rituals and that communities later revived them.
