Overview
Teostra is an Elder Dragon with a lionlike face, a mane, red-orange armor and a separate pair of wings. Its fire breath and explosive powder create a confrontation built around heat and accumulating blast hazards. The creature debuted in Monster Hunter 2 and became a recurring representation of the series' powerful, environmentally disruptive Elder Dragons.
Later games expand this identity in different ways. Capcom's Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate spotlight describes the explosive dust and a dramatic aerial supernova, while World gives the monster territory in the Elder's Recess. Lunastra is the blue female counterpart with her own moves and environmental effects, rather than a palette that can be ignored when describing either monster. Blast-related status names and precise charge requirements change across releases, so this account identifies the recurring fire-and-powder concept without imposing one game's mechanics on every Teostra.
