Overview

CIP distinguishes Sakizaya identity from earlier classification under Amis and records recognition in 2007.

Its account describes shared 1878 resistance with Kavalan at Takubuwa, followed by displacement and concealed cultural transmission.

Palamalan a Lisin commemorates this history; rice cultivation was adopted through Kavalan contact. Practices have changed.
