Overview

Onmoraki stands on a rounded vessel amid richly ornamented religious furnishings. Its body is bird-like, with layered feathers, wings and long clawed feet. The head combines a beak with large human-like eyes and pointed ears. A crest sweeps backward, while a long curling plume extends from the mouth toward the lower right. Decorative textile patterns and a suspended object fill the space behind it.

The printed heading 陰摩羅鬼 identifies this being, and a substantial explanatory passage accompanies the image. The inspected composition establishes more than a generic monstrous bird: it connects the feathered figure with an interior containing ritual objects. This primary picture supports the anatomy and setting described here. The cursive explanation has not been fully transcribed, so the profile does not present a complete translation of its origin story.
