Overview

Atreus’s selected account places the Legion within Freya’s effort to interrupt the confrontation between Kratos and Baldur. Other magical interventions fail to restrain the combatants, and she sends a multitude of attackers to seize Kratos. Their humanoid outlines and barklike surfaces suit that scene, but they do not establish an ancient civilization, inherited species identity or ancestry shared with every tree-shaped creature. They are recorded here as conjured opponents with a specific dramatic function. The account concerns Freya’s intervention rather than an independently observed wild population.

The licensed guide describes large groups that leap onto Kratos and are individually easy to defeat. Their resemblance in combat to Brood is a practical comparison: many weak assailants can become dangerous through interruption and crowding. It does not prove that one creature develops into the other. Legion appear at only a limited number of locations in this implementation, which limits the ecological conclusions that can responsibly follow from it. Their vulnerability to being knocked away is likewise an encounter property. No supported source here explains feeding, reproduction, long-term survival after summoning or ordinary settlements, so those absent details are left open rather than filled with invented forest biology.

First appearances & development

This profile selects the summoned attackers in the 2018 Norse game. A name meaning a multitude does not establish continuity with unrelated Legion entities in other fictional worlds. The brief guide and Atreus account support a bounded magical-creature entry, not an exhaustive invented species history.

Canon & continuity

Prima’s actual Legion chapter provides the pack behavior and comparison with Brood. The dedicated reference returns Atreus’s account of Freya’s final-battle intervention. A separate questionable codex attribution on that page is excluded rather than used to invent an offspring relationship or unverified later-game origin.
