Legiana

Overview

Legiana is a Flying Wyvern associated with the upper reaches of the Coral Highlands in Monster Hunter: World. Its pale body, dark patterned wings and conspicuous membranes give it an unusually delicate silhouette for a large aerial predator. It attacks with claws, diving movements and cold currents that carry the game's ice element, making its control of the air as important as its physical weapons.

The creature's habitat matters to its portrayal: vertical terrain and rising air distinguish Legiana from forest-bound or desert-adapted wyverns. Iceborne's opening uses a migration of Legiana to connect the original setting with the Hoarfrost Reach. Shrieking Legiana is a separately identified variant with expanded freezing attacks, rather than evidence that every Legiana has the same abilities.
