Overview
Kushala Daora is a metallic-looking Elder Dragon with four walking limbs and a separate pair of large wings. Introduced in Monster Hunter 2, it generates powerful winds around itself and projects storms that complicate attempts to approach. The silvery armor and moving air give it a distinctive identity among dragons that instead rely on flame, poison or electrical attacks.
World presents the creature through wind barriers and tornadoes, retaining its association with environmental disturbance. Methods for weakening that protection differ across titles; poison interactions from older games should not be stated as a universal rule for every release. Rusted Kushala Daora is a separately named form, and weather- or habitat-dependent attacks also require their own game context. The entry follows the ordinary species in Monster Hunter 2 and World, describing visible traits and encounter concepts rather than inventing a complete metallurgy or atmospheric biology.
First appearances & development
Monster Hunter 2 (2006). This entry follows the version represented by the primary works listed below, rather than treating the name as a single creature shared by every adaptation. Game Hunter's Notes and encounters are the baseline; subspecies, variants, spin-offs and numerical mechanics require title attribution.
Canon & continuity
The bibliography identifies Monster Hunter 2 as a primary basis and Monster Hunter: World as a second useful treatment. The linked secondary reference supports identification and contextual claims; it does not substitute for consulting the named edition, episode or game. Game Hunter's Notes and encounters are the baseline; subspecies, variants, spin-offs and numerical mechanics require title attribution.
