Dodogama

Overview

Dodogama is a blue Fanged Wyvern with a broad orange lower jaw, encountered in the Elder's Recess in Monster Hunter: World. Its feeding behavior supplies its central threat: swallowed rocks interact with secretions in its mouth and become explosive projectiles. The creature can spit this material at intruders, turning mineral consumption into a weapon rather than relying on fire breath or a conventional predatory attack.

World presents Dodogama as a resident of a volcanic, mineral-rich habitat, where its squat body and massive jaws fit its unusual food source. It is generally less imposing than the major monsters around it, but its blast attacks can complicate encounters involving other species. Iceborne retains the ordinary creature at higher hunting ranks. Those stronger quest versions do not by themselves constitute a new subspecies, and this account does not infer hidden powers from differences in health or damage.
