Overview

Kalameet appears in the Royal Wood during the Artorias of the Abyss expansion. His first aerial presence is distinct from the later conventional ground battle: Hawkeye Gough can shoot and incapacitate him after the appropriate conversations, enabling the intended confrontation. The encounter reference also documents an exceptional route to defeating him without that aid. Neither route makes the dragon harmless once grounded. Charges, head strikes, tail blows and dark breath sustain his threat, and his unusually strong lightning resistance prevents a familiar dragon weakness from becoming a reliable assumption about this individual.

The central eye is tied to calamity rather than ordinary vision alone. An attack can seize a victim and temporarily double incoming damage; the Calamity Ring separately identifies the dragon's orange eye as its enchantment's source and doubles the wearer's damage received. These effects are related but have different durations and conditions. A tail cut yields the Obsidian Greatsword instead of simply another ordinary loot drop. The licensed roleplaying miniature calls him a survivor of the ancient dragons and speculates about Abyss-derived power behind his foul breath. That proposed origin remains attributed to the tabletop description; it is not converted into a proven explanation for every dark dragon, or into a claim that no other dragon survives anywhere in the series.

First appearances & development

The profile follows Kalameet's 2012 expansion encounter and its game item text. A later licensed roleplaying miniature is a separate representation with a promotional 'Last Dragon' title. The named individual is not counted again under that product title or merged with other ancient dragons merely to increase coverage.

Canon & continuity

The complete relevant specialist encounter passages and Calamity Ring transcription were inspected. Asmodee's licensed product description supplies the separately qualified Abyss hypothesis. A mirrored board-game rulebook was located, but web size limits and a local 403 prevented its inspection; no new rulebook mechanics or publication date are adopted.
