Overview
Bazelgeuse is a Flying Wyvern that sheds explosive scales from its underside and tail. Its broad wings allow it to pass over a battlefield while dropping these hazards, followed by dives, charges and close attacks that can trigger further explosions. Monster Hunter: World uses the creature as an intrusive aerial threat whose arrival can reshape an ongoing hunt.
The scales make position and timing important: the danger persists on the ground after the monster has moved elsewhere. This gives Bazelgeuse a combat identity based on altering the battlefield rather than only striking a single target. Rise returns the ordinary species through its update content, whereas Seething Bazelgeuse is a separately named variant associated with hotter and more elaborate explosive behavior. This profile follows the original form and does not treat every variant's attack pattern or every title's roaming rules as identical.
First appearances & development
Monster Hunter: World (2018). This entry follows the version represented by the primary works listed below, rather than treating the name as a single creature shared by every adaptation.
