Overview

Barroth is a Brute Wyvern that shelters in muddy environments and coats its body in mud. Its raised head crest becomes a battering surface for powerful charges, while the mud can protect the underlying shell and be shaken onto opponents. Introduced in Monster Hunter Tri, the creature combines a desert-associated range with a strong dependence on wet patches within that environment.

World's Wildspire Waste places mud pools alongside drier terrain, making the animal's movement and coating part of the landscape. Washing or breaking away mud changes the encounter's effective protection and weaknesses in ways specific to the game. Jade Barroth is a separate cold-region subspecies and should not supply abilities to ordinary Barroth. This account emphasizes the original animal's sheltering, charging and mud handling, without collapsing its appearances into one fixed set of numerical combat rules.
