Overview
The original manual warns that Wizzrobe's spells bypass Link's small shield. In the game, one colored form repeatedly teleports, while the stronger blue form moves through the room and changes position. A Link to the Past makes its materialization the opening for attacks. Link's Awakening further changes the practical threat: sword blows repel its Wizzrobes but do not damage them, so bombs, arrows or thrown objects are needed. Their apparent similarity therefore conceals important differences in when and how their bodies can be struck.
The Wind Waker gives Wizzrobes birdlike faces and conspicuous robes. Some throw fire, and others can summon more enemies, making a lone caster the source of a growing encounter. Breath of the Wild instead organizes the family around fire, ice and electrical rods, with stronger related forms carrying more powerful versions. Those elements belong to particular variants; they should not all be assigned to every robed enemy. Their role is a magical monster family in this compendium, without inferring that every depiction is a human wizard or that one society links all appearances.
First appearances & development
Wizzrobe appears in the original 1986 game. The comparisons use A Link to the Past in 1991, Link's Awakening in 1993, The Wind Waker in 2002 and Breath of the Wild in 2017. Recurrence of the enemy name is separated from any unestablished biological or cultural continuity.
Canon & continuity
The original English manual, printed page 36, was visually inspected in Nintendo's scan. Zelda Wiki supplies specific later-game attack and vulnerability comparisons and reproduces in-game gallery descriptions. This account classifies the hostile magical type at creature priority; it does not infer a universal human, undead or avian ancestry.
