Overview
A Stormglider’s great wingspan lets it ride rising air over the Western Frontier, although its size limits aerial maneuverability. It descends rapidly onto prey and uses a barbed, venomous tail capable of penetrating heavy protection. Smaller victims can be carried to a ledge; larger ones may be eaten on the ground while the tail deters competing scavengers. Its poor judgment can make a rover look like prey. The official guide describes usually solitary animals that form temporary pairs to raise young, so the possibility of two hunting together should survive a simplified claim that they are always alone.
The game guide adds encounter locations in both the Upper Plains and Clouded Forest, with useful materials available from defeated animals. It describes different challenges when fighting in the air or on the ground and identifies the neck as a vulnerable area. These are implemented hunting rules, not a timeless biological guarantee that any neck wound kills instantly. Young and mature labels remain stages within this species. Zeswa kite races supply another context: the official story imagines a Stormglider carrying off the kite flyer, then explicitly says that has never happened. The legend should not be presented as an observed feeding record.
First appearances & development
The selected creature appears in the 2023 game and official fauna entry. The inspected game guide has subsequent updates, so its strategies are identified as a particular guide account rather than immutable current mechanics. Age and material-quality labels do not justify separate species profiles.
Canon & continuity
The official body supports hunting, venom and the short-lived family arrangement. Garripoli’s independently inspected guide supplies locations and encounter tactics. Their difference over solitary encounters is qualified by the official pairing account. No linked gameplay video or complete original game was newly viewed.
