Overview

The Resident Evil Podcast describes Steve being imprisoned with his father after the latter tried to sell Umbrella secrets. An attack and viral outbreak let Steve escape, but he initially refuses Claire Redfield's help. Their cooperation grows after she rescues him from a trap. He later shoots his zombified father to save her, then mourns him.

Steve pilots their escape aircraft, which Alfred redirects to Antarctica. Alexia subsequently infects him, causing a violent mutation. Despite attacking Claire, he briefly regains control and breaks the tentacles restraining her. Alexia mortally wounds him; he returns to human form before dying.
