Overview
The official Mystery-class guide describes a four-headed dragon whose plantlike fins and wings can mislead a hungry animal or human. Triple-opening jaws release an attractive sweet scent; once a victim searches through the apparent foliage, the creature unfolds and attacks. The resemblance to a flower therefore is part of its predatory disguise, not proof that the animal is literally a plant or a real Venus flytrap hybrid. Four heads broaden the display without making the creature four separately counted dragons.
Multi-head Bonanza in School of Dragons supplies a smaller-scale hunting observation: the player sees a wild Snaptrapper ambush a spider on Zippleback Island. Fishlegs proposes that Snaptrappers and Zipplebacks share ancestry, with diet changes explaining their different head counts. He also describes burrow ambushes against small animals and considers Snaptrappers harmless to people. That assessment contrasts with the official guide's human-luring danger, so it remains local game testimony rather than a universal safety statement. The source's release header and narrative also disagree between September and October 2015; the year is retained without inventing a precise settled day.
First appearances & development
The selected licensed-game witness belongs to 2015 and the Battle for the Edge expansion, with the undated official animated species guide providing the scent-and-foliage account. Conflicting game release dates are acknowledged. Different head positions and named specimens are not counted as separate species or guaranteed developmental stages.
Canon & continuity
Complete official prose and actual indexed game quest and release passages were read. Fishlegs' proposed kinship is attributed to him, not promoted into a resolved natural family tree. The two assessments of danger to humans remain visible, and the referenced Venus-flytrap comparison is treated as appearance rather than creator testimony.
