Overview
A Scagdead arises in a host with unusually high initial resistance to T-Abyss, rather than complete immunity. Capcom describes infection progressing through fever, itching and swelling near the neck and shoulders over days or weeks. Awareness of being overtaken does not prevent the eventual collapse into virus-induced madness. The remaining human head can continue sleepwalkerlike muttering, making its bodily transformation and broken speech coexist. This is a disturbing infection outcome, not evidence that the monster retains a fully functioning human identity or that resistance provides a reliable cure.
In Revelations the malformed body is tougher than an ordinary Ooze and carries a sawlike arm capable of a fatal close attack. Its relatively slow movement makes distance valuable, although accompanying creatures complicate prolonged attention to the larger enemy. The inspected guide places one behind a locked promenade storeroom on the Queen Zenobia: destroying the padlock releases it. Two later emerge from a money office on the Queen Semiramis, with another encounter in the Zenobia’s hold. These placements connect the type to enclosed ship spaces and repeated confrontations rather than treating a single memorable monster as the only possible Scagdead.
First appearances & development
Resident Evil Revelations (2012) presents Scagdead as a recurring T-Abyss mutation in initially resistant humans. Resistance changes the infection course without blocking its completion. This profile covers the recurring creature type and selected ship encounters; it does not use its former human victims as separate creature entries.
Canon & continuity
The individual publisher dossier establishes delayed infection symptoms, residual muttering, resilience and the fatal saw attack. The separately inspected game guide corroborates the organic appendage and multiple locations. The dossier’s approximate rarity statistic is not needed for this account and is not turned into a universal probability across every outbreak.
