Sahagin (Final Fantasy)

Overview

Square Enix places the Sahagin beneath the Indigo Deep. They are an aquatic people associated with Leviathan. The A Realm Reborn introduction describes attacks on vessels, captured sailors and the seizure of coastal Vylbrand land for spawning grounds after the Seventh Umbral Era.

The official patch 2.2 preview adds the friendly settlement of Novv’s Nursery and its quest relationships. That later reference is essential to a bounded description: early hostile encounters do not establish a single attitude shared by every Sahagin. A spawning ground is a documented motivation, not a license to invent a complete reproductive biology.

This profile covers the Final Fantasy XIV people rather than merging all creatures called Sahagin across the series. No selected source establishes a real-world creative influence. The unofficial coastal portrait retains an aquatic humanoid interpretation while its weapon, ornaments, colors and specific pose are imaginative details.
