Reek

Overview

A reek is a heavy horned quadruped with tough skin and surprising speed. The Geonosians release one toward Anakin in the arena execution, where its charging attacks and mass distinguish it from the other two beasts. During the ensuing battle it becomes a threat to multiple sides, demonstrating that a captive animal is not a reliable extension of its handlers' intentions.

The arena individual's rampage ends when Jango Fett shoots it, a narrative event rather than a general species vulnerability table. Lucasfilm's Databank also lists later Clone Wars treatment, but does not provide an exhaustive biology. The resemblance to large horned Earth mammals can help describe its shape without establishing an evolutionary relationship. This profile separates its physical power and selected screen behavior from unsupported assumptions about diet, breeding, social organization or uniform aggression in a natural setting.
