Overview
The nexu is an agile quadrupedal predator with four eyes, a broad mouth, a line of sharp quills and a forked tail. One is released against Padmé during the Geonosian arena execution in Attack of the Clones. Its speed and climbing threat contrast with the heavier reek and long-limbed acklay, giving each creature a different role within the same scene.
Lucasfilm's Databank supplies detailed anatomy, including the tail's contribution to balance and the animal's curved claws. The captive arena specimen does not establish the behavior of an entire wild population, and coercive use by handlers should not be treated as evidence of willing allegiance. Later appearances may broaden the species' context. This entry keeps diet, reproduction and precise homeworld history within documented limits instead of deriving a complete zoology from the creature's feline-like movement.
