Overview
Prolemuris are light, tree-dwelling Pandoran herbivores whose skin flaps help them move between branches. Their teeth are suited to tough local vegetation, while their relatively unaggressive behaviour distinguishes them from the rainforest's larger threats. Their limb arrangement gives them a familiar primatelike impression without making them imported terrestrial monkeys or an already established Na'vi ancestor.
The official guide attributes the evolutionary comparison to some scientists: they see the animal as a possible step between common six-limbed, four-eyed fauna and the Na'vi body plan. That is an in-world hypothesis, not an exhaustive documented phylogeny or a statement that living prolemuris will turn into people. Their appearance in the first film helps present a rainforest inhabited by ordinary animals as well as spectacular dangers. The later High Ground appearance is listed by the publisher, but this selective entry does not claim fresh full inspection of every associated comic issue.

The guide's proposed evolutionary connection remains attributed to investigators. The official fauna entry was inspected and explicitly presents the evolutionary relationship as some scientists' belief. Its gliding structures and plant-cutting teeth are stated separately from that hypothesis. Film appearance and the listed comic context provide bibliography without turning a living comparative animal into a certified direct ancestor or claiming that the entire expanded canon was reviewed.
