Overview

Neimoidians have green skin, large uniformly coloured eyes and noseless faces. Their public species guide emphasizes their association with the Trade Federation and the Separatist movement. That narrative association identifies powerful institutions; it does not make every individual a military commander. Cato Neimoidia offers a concrete wealthy colony setting, where Trade Federation barons compete through jewelled palaces, elaborate bridge-cities and conspicuous hospitality.

Nute Gunray’s career gives the political connection its best-known screen example. As viceroy, he conspires with Darth Sidious to blockade and invade Naboo, then attempts to make Amidala legitimize the occupation. Her return defeats that plan. Gunray escapes imprisonment after multiple trials and retains his office, demonstrating the survival of commercial power after an unsuccessful invasion.

During the Clone Wars, the Federation is formally neutral while backing the Separatists. Gunray seeks revenge against Amidala, then becomes a fugitive with the Separatist Council. Sidious sends Anakin to kill them on Mustafar. This explains a particular leader’s fate, without making Sith loyalty or greed biological traits.
