AI-generated Lightning interpretation.
Dissidia artwork; XIII narrative.
Overview
Lightning is a soldier from Cocoon who becomes a fugitive after receiving a curse from a god of the lower world. Square Enix’s Dissidia biography places that reversal at the center of her original story: the army she once served now pursues her.
The cited secondary account connects her flight with an attempt to rescue her sister Serah. After Serah crystallizes, Lightning travels with Hope, protecting him while struggling with anger and guilt. Her initial distrust of Snow gradually yields to acceptance of his bond with Serah and their shared determination to restore her.
