HUNK (Resident Evil)

Overview

Known as Mr. Death, HUNK works for Umbrella on hazardous recovery and clean-up assignments. Evil Resource identifies his Resident Evil 2 mission as retrieving the G-Virus from William Birkin’s laboratory. His reputation rests on returning alone from operations that others do not survive; the nickname does not establish supernatural invulnerability.

The Resident Evil Podcast’s biographical account follows Alpha Team into Birkin’s laboratory and then the sewers. After a team member shoots Birkin, the scientist uses the virus on himself and pursues the departing soldiers. HUNK survives the attack, recovers consciousness and secures a sample. He arranges extraction with helicopter pilot NightHawk and fights through the infected city to reach the police department pickup.

That account also records a later cargo assignment for Alfred Ashford: transporting a Tyrant to Rockfort Island. HUNK completes the delivery but objects to being kept uninformed about the dangerous contents. These recovery and transport duties give his appearances a continuing corporate purpose beyond his playable escape scenario. His personal identity remains obscure.
