Overview

Hræzlyr first interrupts the lift carrying Kratos and Atreus through the mountain. The confined battle uses claws, jaws and the moving platform before the dragon escapes outside. There it threatens Sindri, drawing the travelers into a larger confrontation. Its great scaled body combines close-range force with electrical attacks, and Sindri cannot simply evade it by using the dwarves’ usual movement between realms. The profile concerns this named creature and its documented scene; it does not manufacture a separate species for every dragon boss with a similar silhouette.

The arena makes the dragon’s electrical power useful against it. Crystals from the surrounding roots detonate when thrown during its charged attacks, leaving its head exposed. The final sequence turns Sindri’s crane into the means of bringing down the beast: Atreus helps operate the apparatus while Kratos forces its pincer against the dragon’s neck and the nearby spike. Sindri then uses a fang to give Atreus’s bow its electrical capability. That equipment consequence connects the encounter to later puzzles and battles. The guide’s resistance table describes this boss implementation; it does not imply that all dragons are immune to frost, fire or shock, or that every fang automatically upgrades any bow.

First appearances & development

Hræzlyr’s selected appearance is the 2018 mountain sequence. This individual merits a profile because its encounters, defeat and fang have a specific story role. Proposed wing-adaptation details attributed elsewhere to an art book are omitted because the original art-book passage was not inspected in this treatment.

Canon & continuity

The licensed boss chapter and the relevant Inside the Mountain walkthrough were read as distinct guide sections with shared whole-page budgets. The dedicated reference independently supplies Sindri’s evasion problem and the fang’s later use. Neither witness establishes an entire dragon genealogy or universal magical-material rule.
