Overview
Tolkien Gateway describes Beleg as a chief marchwarden of Doriath and a close companion of Túrin. He seeks Túrin after the young man leaves Doriath, bringing Thingol's offer of pardon, then joins his resistance to Morgoth.
After their refuge is betrayed, Beleg follows Túrin's captors and works with Gwindor to rescue him. During the release, Túrin mistakes his rescuer for an enemy and kills him with Anglachel.
