Overview

Akivasha appears as a young woman near her own empty sarcophagus. She describes an ancient bargain preserving youth through blood, then reveals pointed teeth as she bites Conan. He refuses her invitation to share immortality.

He escapes when the candles go out. Later he believes he sees her recoil from the Heart of Ahriman's radiance. She is not slain. Neither his threatened dismemberment nor familiar vampire conventions establish demonstrated weaknesses for this particular character.
