Abomination (Destiny)

Overview

An Abomination’s huge headless body ends in a metal cap, with lower-arm stumps beneath its functional limbs. The reference explains the distortion through repeated Dark Ether resurrection of a Fallen body. That account is not supplemented here with forum theories about a mandatory progression through all Scorn forms.

Its ranged Arc bolts and close ground shockwave create pressure at different distances. The large target may resemble an Ogre in battlefield function, but size and attack parallels do not establish kinship between Scorn and Hive. Named later examples have additional conditions, including particular revival mechanisms; those are encounter variations rather than a universal property of the ordinary type. The entry keeps the recurring body and attack role together without turning every difficulty label into a species.

First appearances & development

Abominations appear in Destiny 2: Forsaken (2018), with later appearances including The Witch Queen (2022). This entry follows the recurring Scorn type and selected encounter description. It does not catalogue every title or difficulty label as another creature, and it does not assert that its developmental name fixes its fictional biological ancestry.

Canon & continuity

The inspected Destinypedia Abomination article supplies body form, the reference’s resurrection account, attack roles and appearance bibliography. No separate creator transcript was found for this profile’s exact claims, so the evidence remains explicitly reference-mediated. Functional comparison to the Hive Ogre is separated from genealogy, and later revival variants are not generalized.
