Overview

Xiqu lives on Mount Li in the Shanhaijing. Its body resembles an ox and is blue-green. Its voice resembles an infant, and it eats people.

Mount Li has jade on one side and plants on the other, while a river flows from it into the Yi River. The beast’s infantlike voice and human diet are recorded together in its named notice.
