Overview
The official guide places sensitive Timberjacks in dense woodland, preferring quiet surroundings. Their serenity can give way to forceful defence: the edges of the broad wings can shear through substantial trunks while the animal continues flying. A specialist transcription of the longer Dragonpedia description also allows the wings to fold around tired riders as shelter. Cutting and protection therefore emerge from the same body feature, rather than requiring two separately named forms of dragon.
School of Dragons initially used Timberjacks for fast travel before making them available as ordinary stable dragons in December 2015. The reference distinguishes the taxi fleet's original presentation from the popular assumption that every location used the individual Stokehead. A brief ride later gave way to immediate travel, and the taxi service was eventually replaced by the map. Stokehead's Flight Club levels preserve tree cutting as a specific gameplay task. These changes explain how a very large forest dragon became a transport interface and playable mount; an instant map transition does not prove that the animal teleports in its fictional ecology.
First appearances & development
The selected game witness begins in 2013 as transport, followed by stable availability in 2015 and a later Titan stage. The broader animated species has earlier manual and short-film witnesses, but this profile does not invent their exact debut sequence. Stokehead remains an individual within the species.
Canon & continuity
The complete official Timberjack guide and actual indexed game-history body were read. The longer shelter account is explicitly a Dragonpedia transcription in a secondary reference. Taxi presentation, playable release and race-level wing cutting are kept separate, and former community-created lookalike skins are excluded from canonical species coverage.
