Overview

Cloudjumper's official Sharp-class profile describes an owl-like dragon whose size and confidence place him just below the Bewilderbeast in Valka's refuge. He and Valka have flown and rescued dragons together for twenty years. Their shared experience produces communication without spoken commands: the dragon anticipates movement and attack decisions. This is an individual partnership built through time, not evidence that every newly trained Stormcutter immediately reads a rider's mind. The species' role in the second film accompanies a wider story about a hidden sanctuary and the future of human-dragon relations.

The specialist account reproduced on the School of Dragons reference gives Stormcutters two pairs of wings, using the lower pair as forelimbs on the ground. It describes tight aerial manoeuvres, hovering, hooked talons and a head capable of turning far around. The account also identifies a sustained swirling fire attack. These anatomical details are a secondary description, not an independently recovered game manual. The game's history supplies a different kind of evidence: its 2014 implementation initially reused an existing animation set, received its own animation in 2015, and gained a Titan stage later. Reused movement data describes production history, not a Night Fury ancestor or a shared fictional skeleton.

First appearances & development

The selected film witness is How to Train Your Dragon 2 in 2014. School of Dragons added its Stormcutter implementation that November, then revised animation and growth presentation. Cloudjumper remains an individual within the species, and a later Titan stage is not counted as a different creature type.

Canon & continuity

The official Cloudjumper profile's complete embedded text and the publisher's film synopsis were read. The indexed specialist reference supplied its explicitly secondary anatomical description and game-history entries. Animation reuse is kept separate from fictional biological descent, and the profile does not claim that all listed manoeuvres were independently tested in the game.
