Overview

Stingmon is a green humanoid insect Digimon protected by a hard exoskeleton and equipped with spikes on its forearms. Bandai's reference describes a cool, intelligent fighter that uses agile movements and precise strikes. Its insect features remain prominent despite the upright body, distinguishing it from either a giant ordinary insect or a human wearing conventional armor.

In Adventure 02, Stingmon is the evolved form of Ken's Wormmon and becomes important after Ken begins repairing the harm he caused. Combination with ExVeemon produces Paildramon through DNA Digivolution, tying increased power to cooperation between their partners. The reference's characterization of an efficient assassin should not erase the television individual's compassionate relationships. Other games offer branching routes, so Wormmon's familiar story path identifies a major portrayal rather than the only possible origin of every Stingmon.

First appearances & development

Multiple continuities; selected Digimon Adventure 02 (2000). This entry follows the version represented by the primary works listed below, rather than treating the name as a single creature shared by every adaptation. Reference Book designs and television individuals are distinct; branching Digivolution routes vary by product and continuity.

Canon & continuity

Bandai's exact species page provides the form's reference classification, named attacks and descriptive lore. Digimon Adventure 02 supplies a separate primary portrayal of a named individual or transformation. These sources are complementary: the reference profile is not a transcript of every anime event, and localized attack names can differ from the Japanese text.
