Overview
Quru inhabits Mount Daoguo. Its body is compared to a jiao bird (鵁), while its head is white, its face human and its feet number three. Its call gives its own name. The accompanying gloss compares jiao to a small duck-like waterbird; this is a commentarial explanation of the comparison, not a modern species identification. The hosted witness also records a variant reading of the character for head.
