Overview

Nautolans come from Glee Anselm and have large dark eyes with tentacles falling over their shoulders. The species Databank identifies them as amphibious. Kit Fisto's account adds a concrete water-breathing example: his capabilities make him especially effective in underwater combat on Mon Cala. This links anatomy to an actual narrative setting, rather than inventing a complete catalogue of sensory powers from the tentacles' appearance.

Fisto is also capable on land, participating in the Geonosis rescue and becoming a general as the Jedi Order enters the Clone Wars. His biography characterizes him as focused in combat but comparatively relaxed elsewhere. Those are individual qualities, not an emotional template for all members of the species. His later death during the confrontation with Palpatine likewise belongs to one Jedi's history.

Zatt provides a different life stage. The young Nautolan seeks a lightsaber crystal on Ilum during the Gathering, under Yoda and Ahsoka's supervision. His difficulty involves setting aside his fascination with a sensor device and relying on instinct. The rite is a Jedi institution; the account does not establish that every Nautolan child undergoes it, or that technological enthusiasm is a species-wide trait.

These official examples connect Nautolans with interplanetary institutions while leaving much of Glee Anselm's civil society unspecified. They support an amphibious people with distinct individuals, rather than a claim that all Nautolans are Jedi. Older Legends marriage, government and sensory accounts require their own sources and continuity labels.

Canon & continuity

Complete Nautolan, Kit Fisto and Zatt Databank bodies were read, including Fisto's selected biography captions. The sources explicitly distinguish species anatomy from two Jedi biographies. Linked videos and further galleries were not newly viewed; Zatt's Gathering is attributed to Jedi training rather than a universal Nautolan cultural practice.
