Overview

The creature combines exposed-looking ribs and spine with trailing tentacles and an alien head. Its battle rapidly alternates close attacks and retreating repositioning. Injury to head or limbs creates vulnerabilities that can later be repaired without replenishing its total health. A further attack reduces the hunter's health to a single point, while other effects can prevent ordinary healing. This is an exact encounter rule, not a general claim that the creature can reduce every being in its world to the same condition.

Consuming at least three Third Umbilical Cords, refusing Gehrman's offer and defeating him permits the confrontation in the Hunter's Dream. The Abandoned Workshop cord says an encounter with the pale moon beckoned hunters and conceived that dream. A separate world note associates the nameless moon presence with Laurence and his associates and the word Paleblood. These are complementary narrative clues rather than a complete explanation of the plague's causation. The surviving ending conditions should also be kept distinct from unused forms found through development-file research. A familiar-sounding personal name from a rare prayer does not resolve every question of identity or gender.

First appearances & development

The selected entity is the conditional final opponent of Bloodborne's 2015 base game. Its released endings and named notes supply the account here. Priority 2 denotes a cosmic creature profile rather than a mortal people; unused dungeon prototypes and speculation about a universal creator deity are outside this treatment.

Canon & continuity

The specialist records the encounter conditions, attacks and injury repair, while the Workshop cord and world note provide direct narrative wording about the dream and beckoning. An additional morphology reference is treated as secondary. These witnesses establish the final creature's role without turning every unresolved relationship into a confirmed genealogy or plague mechanism.
