Overview
Longzhi of Mount Kunwu resembles a pig but has horns. Its voice is compared to howling. The Shanhaijing attributes relief from an oppressive condition to eating it.
Kunwu is introduced as a mountain with abundant red copper. This creature’s written name蠪蛭 differs from蠪姪, the eastern fox with nine heads and nine tails. Their short forms overlap in romanization, but their primary descriptions establish different bodies and locations.
