Hyle Hunt

Overview

Hyle Hunt serves Randyll Tarly as a knight and captain. A Wiki of Ice and Fire traces Brienne's distrust to his participation in a cruel wager about courting her at Highgarden. Later, ordered to follow her search for Sansa Stark, he witnesses her victory over outlaws and gives her credit for their defeat.

After Tarly dismisses him, Hyle accompanies Brienne, hoping for a reward. He proposes marriage partly to gain Tarth, but she refuses. Following the fighting at the crossroads inn, Lady Stoneheart's followers capture and condemn him alongside Brienne and Podrick. He offers to kill Jaime in Brienne's place; when the prisoners are hanged, Brienne shouts her choice to intervene.
