Overview

Great Girros is a predatory fanged wyvern whose prominent fangs deliver paralytic toxins. Its capacity to immobilize prey gives its head a different function from the crushing jaws of many larger monsters. The official Monster Hunter Now profile also describes paralyzing breath, connecting close-range attacks and a projected hazard through the same hunting specialization. A hunter facing it must recognize more than the direction of its charge.

World introduces the creature within its living monster environment, while Now presents a shorter encounter with different movement and breaking rules. The mobile guide emphasizes relatively straight attacks and a vulnerable head, but those observations should not become an exhaustive statement about every game's artificial intelligence. This entry concerns the large Great Girros form, with ordinary Girros and special encounter modifiers not split into redundant profiles. Paralysis is a fictional status effect whose duration depends on the selected game.

Game Hunter's Notes and encounters are the baseline; subspecies, variants, spin-offs and numerical mechanics require title attribution.
